About the role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you make sure the maintenance plan behind that production line actually matches what happens on the shop floor. Part of your week is spent behind a screen, where you build and refine maintenance plans in SAP PM or Ultimo. The rest of your time, you’re out on the factory floor, inspecting equipment and talking to the people who work with it.
This isn’t a job where you repair machines with a wrench. It’s the role that determines how often those machines are checked, what gets inspected and why. You use breakdown data and root cause analysis to spot patterns and turn those patterns into a better maintenance plan. If something breaks down twice, you’re the person who figures out why and builds the solution into the system so it doesn’t happen a third time.
