What you'll do
- You schedule repairs, maintenance, and short maintenance shutdowns, and hire outside contractors as needed
- You assign daily tasks to about five technicians
- You notify the production department when a machine is down and how long the downtime will last
- You maintain a medium- and long-term overview of the total backlog
- You stay in touch with production and suppliers regarding the schedule
- You inspect completed work and follow up if something is not right
- You support the head of technical services in the day-to-day management of the team
What we ask
- Recent work experience as a work planner or technical service team leader
- MBO+ or HBO level of work and thinking in a technical field
- Available full-time for day shifts
- Experience with a maintenance management system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- You remain calm when a production line comes to a halt and production needs answers
What we offer
- 3,500–4,500 euros gross per month
- The exact amount depends on your experience and knowledge
- Initially a one-year contract, followed by a permanent contract
- Travel allowance of 0.23 euros per kilometer, up to 60 kilometers per day
- 36 hours per week, day shifts only, no night shifts

- Working with a wide range of robots, ovens, packaging machines, and equipment
About the role
You’ll be working at a food processing plant in the northern Netherlands where the production lines run day and night. Ovens, robots, and packaging machines never stop, and if something breaks, production needs a quick solution. That solution starts with you.
You serve as the link between the production floor and the technicians. You schedule repairs, brief the team on what needs to be done that day, and inspect the work once it’s complete. You don’t work the night shift yourself, even though the factory continues to operate around the clock.
You’ll report to the head of technical services and support him in managing about five technicians per day. It’s a hands-on job with real responsibility, in a department of 21 colleagues who know their machines inside and out.
